Joshua Parkhurst graduated in 1993 from Chicago University with a Bachelor’s degree. He received his Juries Doctorate in 1996 after graduating from New York University Law School. He is now an associate at Cary Kane LLP, a respected law firm in New York City.

Workers often feel that the are at the mercy of their employers.  In fact, workers are entitled to have their employers honor their agreements and follow laws which guarantee workers fair treatment. Workers who are mistreated by their employers may avail themselves of the justice system to right these wrongs.  There are several lawyers who have dedicated themselves to protecting the rights of workers.  Joshua Parkhurst is indicative of that American tradition of lawyers who battle injustice in the workplace using the legal system.

Joshua Parkhurst was an undergraduate at the University of Chicago where he got his B.A. In Public Policy in 1993. He then went to New York University’s School of Law and obtained his J.D. in 1996.  He was also Legal Theory Editor at the school’s Review of Law and Social Change. In 1997 he was admitted to the New York Bar. He is now an associate at Cary Kane LLP, a highly respected law firm in New York. In this positions he works on behalf of, and represents, individual employees, labor unions, and employee benefit funds.

Joshua Parkhurst is also involved in civic affairs in his hometown of Jersey City serving as a board member and past president of the Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy, a non-profit that takes action to conserve historic areas and structures in Jersey City.
